There are instances where a mother may wish not to use medications or
regional
anesthesia for childbirth or these options may not be available in some parts
of the world. In these situations there are methods available that have been found by many laboring mothers to assist
in dealing with the pain of labor. Included is a short description of each method and a link for more
detailed information on the subject. In an effort to provide views based on good research we have summarized
information on the following methods of nonpharmacologic pain relief.
